Also, they provide you with an iPad which you can use to book spa appointments along with many other things. I love how they think of every little detail by personalizing our suite with our last name and provide every toiletry imaginable, from toothbrushes, razors, sunscreen, toothpaste, comb and more. We had the best view of the ocean and only a short walk from the pool and restaurant area. We were in room 232, a Preferred Club ocean view bungalow, and in my opinion, the one with the best location. 49 rooms are standard, split into two larger buildings, 4 junior suites with plunge pools, 2 Preferred ocean front junior suites, 2 honeymoon suites (any bungalow is like a honeymoon suite though, there were honeymooners everywhere), and 1 Presidential suite with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, jacuzzi and living room. There is a total of 202 rooms, 80% of them are beautiful bungalows (2 per building) that allows you to feel like you have your own little private oasis. They also don’t provide a resort bracelet, which can get annoying, because they want the guests to feel like on of their own. This means that the property is built on hills with winding pathways which require shuttles to get around.īeing that its a smaller resort they do not require reservations for the restaurants, except the Hibachi. Keeping with Costa Rican laws and traditions, Secrets wanted to make sure to build around and interrupt as little as possible the natural settings. They invested around 20 million dollars in renovations and had their grand opening in late 2015. Previously a Hilton property, Secrets Papagayo, an all-inclusive adults only resort, is located on the west coast of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste area. Prior to this trip both my husband and I had been go go go and all we wanted to do was just chill, relax and decompress and Secrets Resort Papagayo made sure we did. We had been there before, about 5 years ago when my brother used to live there. This is our fourth trip with the company and we were elated that Costa Rica was the choice. My husband’s company holds a sales reward trip every year, each year to a different resort. Its been less than two weeks since we went to beautiful Costa Rica. ![]()
